Project Overview
Large septic system for a new bottling facility
Project Description
Designing and Installing a Custom Commercial Septic System for a Local Bottling Facility
The Blending House planned to build a bottling facility and needed a system that could handle both the strength and the volume of wastewater they planned to generate, two factors that make designing an effective septic system especially complex. After being referred by other installers in the area, the distillery reached out to us when neither local companies nor the health department could provide a solution. They needed a system that could handle the wastewater while meeting regulatory standards and operating efficiently under heavy use.
We were happy to accomodate these needs and worked closely with the client and health department to design a custom system that combined elements of both conventional and advanced treatment technologies. This hybrid approach ensured the effluent quality met the strict requirements for discharge while keeping the system reliable and efficient. We handled every step of the process, from permitting and design to the final installation, our clients experienced the smoothest process possible.
The final system included:
- 1 Trash Trap – to remove solids before treatment
- 1 Aeration Tank – to encourage biological breakdown of waste
- 1 Equalization Tank – to manage fluctuating flow volumes
- 2 Aerobic Treatment Units (ATUs) – to provide advanced wastewater treatment
- 2 Pump Tanks – for controlled dosing to the drain field
- Over 1,000 feet of lateral lines – divided into 3 dosing zones for even distribution
At Hartman Septic, we specialize in designing custom solutions that work - no matter how complex the wastewater requirements may be. From high-strength commercial waste to unique residential challenges, our team has the expertise to create systems that perform reliably and meet every regulatory standard.
