‍Upgrading to an Advanced Septic System to Finalize a Home Sale

When selling a home, a septic inspection can reveal critical issues that must be addressed before the sale can proceed. Recently, we worked with a client who was preparing to sell their 6-bedroom home, only to discover that the existing septic system was sized for just 4 bedrooms. This deficiency meant the system did not meet the requirements for the property, putting the sale at risk.

The client needed a fully compliant system to match the home’s capacity. However, due to the lot size and topography, there was no available space to expand the existing conventional system. This meant we had to find an alternative solution that would meet the needs of the home while adhering to health department regulations.

The best option was to replace the outdated system with an advanced aerobic treatment unit (ATU). This type of system provides higher-quality effluent treatment in a smaller footprint, making it ideal for properties with limited space.
